Enjoyed your site. My Great Gandmother was Eloisous Octavious Watts -father Charles Watts – we were told Indian. My DNA test on Indian -but African2% & Iberian Peninsula. Think I’ll do the Melungeon finger print DNA what do you think

Hi. I’ve been researching all sides of my family trees but have been stuck on Gladys Ray Collins Dalton Schewelle(s). She is my biological grandmother. My father was born to Wesley Fate Collins and Gladys Ray Collins in Tennessee July 3, 1928. Wesley Collins ( my biological grandfather) let William David and Ada May Messer adopt my father when he was about three months old. I don’t know what my father’s name was when he was born, but he was reared as Mayford E. Messer. I was always told that we had Native American blood supposedly Cherokee. However, I believe it may be Melungeon ancestry. My grandfather had hazel eyes, ruddy dark skin and black hair. My father had black/auburn hair, ruddy tanned skin and blue eyes. It would be deeply appreciated if anyone knows anything. Thank you.
